Lorenzo Musetti is a former World No. 1 junior from 2019. The nineteen year old from Carrara, Italy broke into the top. 100 of the World after qualifying and earning the biggest win of career over No. 9 Diego Schwartzman en route to the 2021 Acapulco Semi Finals. After that he reached the Quarter-finals of the Sardegna Open as well.
Since then though Musetti has been a little inconsistent, which is understandable as he is just starting out on tour. At the Lyon Open, where he is currently competing, he is through to the Semi-finals. Currently the Italian is ranked No.88 in the World.

Lorenzo Musetti is not the only Italian tennis player making headlines. Italy has in the last few years started producing an abundance of World class tennis talents.
