Having good mental health is as important as good physical health, especially for athletes. The athletes have to handle a lot of stress and pressure during the match and sometimes it becomes very hard for them to handle it, leading to a mental breakdown.
Iga Swiatek’s sports psychologist Daria Abramowicz recently had a chat with Barbara Schett, who is a TV presenter at Eurosport. In the interview, she mentioned the importance of mental health while playing tennis. She said you need to be mentally fit to perform better.
“When you’re mentally fit and tough, you can play your best tennis!” she said.
Daria Abramowicz is one of the main reasons behind Iga’s dominant performance at the Australian Open 2022 and her winning her first Grand Slam at French Open 2020.

Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek has been ranked World No.8 by the Women’s Tennis Association. Her highest career ranking was World No.4. She has three career titles to her name till now out of which one is the Grand Slam title she won at the French Open in 2020 by defeating Sofia Kenin in the finals with a score of 6-4, 6-1.
At the Australian Open 2022 also, Iga has had a great run till now and reached the semifinals by defeating Kaia Kanepi in the quarterfinals with a score of 4-6, 7-6, 6-3. She will play against Danielle Collins in the semifinals at the Rod Laver Arena in Australia.
