“She’ll Be Back”: Here’s where and when we will see Emma Raducanu back on the court

Emma Raducanu

Emma Raducanu is a name to reckon with in the world of tennis. Ranked 19 on the WTA Tour, Emma rose to fame after she won the 2021 US Open in an emphatic style. However, post that, she hasn’t really been able to perform as per expectations.

Emma has won only 2 out of her 5 tour-level matches since the US Open triumph. Her fans across the world were excited when it was confirmed that will play the 3-day exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi, the 2021 Mubadala World Tennis Championship scheduled between the 16th and 19th December. However, fate had other plans.

Emma was diagnosed positive for Covid-19 and since the news came out, it was clear that she will miss the event in Abu Dhabi. Emma was set to play Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Belinda Bencic in the one-off match at the tournament but now there will be a replacement player called to fill in for the US Open champion.

Nevertheless, the star player from Britain is expected to recover at a brisk pace and if everything goes well, Emma would be set to take the court in early January. She is scheduled to play in the Melbourne Summer Set which will be played from Jan 3-9.

Post that, Emma is also expected to feature in the Sydney Tennis Classic which will be played from Jan 10-15. After these two tournaments, Emma is all set to make her Australian Open debut as well. While things haven’t really gone her way in the recent past, we all know that it is just a matter of time before Emma starts ruling the court again.
