The Carota Boys are a group of six supporters of Jannik Sinner who do not follow the general norms of being a fan club, and probably this is the reason why they have become so famous so quickly.

The group that started as a joke has now become a fully sponsored enterprise, and the Carota Boys travel across the globe to support Jannik Sinner in the major tournaments.

The uniqueness of the Carota Boys is that the six members dress up like carrots and support Jannik Sinner, which differentiates them from the other fan clubs.

The reason for their carrot theme is simple. It is a tribute to the Italian’s red-orange hair and the fact that he ate a carrot instead of a banana during a changeover at a tournament in Vienna back in 2019.

The six members of the Carota Boys are Enrico Ponsi, Gianluca Bertorello, Alessandro Dedominici, Lorenzo Ferrato, Francesco Gaboardi, and Alberto Mondino.

Interestingly, they are all in their twenties (slightly older than Jannik Sinner himself) and come from Revello, Italy. Bertorello is a baker; Dedominici and Ponsi work in the field of agriculture; and the others are office workers.

The Carota Boys first appeared at the 2023 Italian Open and were instantly supported by one of Sinner’s sponsors. They were then sent to cheer for Sinner in the French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open.

They were also present for his support at the 2023 ATP Finals, where the youngster did phenomenally well. As the ATP Finals took place in Turin last year, the Carota Boys were able to cheer for him throughout the tournament compared to the other tournaments where they had to leave after a few days.

Jannik Sinner claims that the Carota Boys are more famous than him now

The Carota Boys’ rise to popularity has really been unbelievable. Their Instagram page has 73k followers now, and their merchandise is pretty famous.

Their merchandise comes in two colors, orange and white, and has “Let’s Go, Sinner, Let’s Go!” written on the back and the Carota Boys branding on the front. Their merchandise is particularly famous in Brazil, Greece, Switzerland, France, and the United States.

They’re almost more famous than I am. I got the names but I still got a little bit confused, because they have these good looking costumes with the carota. It’s great to have this dedicated fan club. It’s growing, so I’m happy for them. It’s funny.
Sinner said when questioned about the Carota Boys.

The six members had a private meeting with their idol during the 2023 ATP Finals. Fans can’t wait to see them back to support the Italian at the 2024 Australian Open
