Jeffrey John “J.J.” Wolf is on the rise at the 2023 Australian Open championship. The 24-year-old is in the third round of the first Grand Slam of the year after upsetting 23rd seed Diego Schwartzman in straight sets to get to that stage.

J.J. Wolf was born on December 21st, 1998, to John and Brooke Wolf and comes from a prestigious sporting family. His grandfather Charles Wolf is a prominent figure in the Cincinnati sporting scene. He played baseball for the Cincinnati Reds and coached the Cincinnati Royals of the NBA. He also coached the Detroit Pistons team in the NBA.

J.J. Wolf had been on the rise in the last couple of years. He caused big upsets in the 2020 US Open to reach the third round as a wildcard entrant. The tournament put him in the sights of many tennis fans. He lost the third round to Daniil Medvedev, but his performances helped him break into the ATP top 100 rankings.

He has had a good 2022 season as well. Wolf won some big matches against the likes of Denis Shapovalov and Holger Rune. He reached the third round of the 2022 US Open too, losing to Nick Kyrgios there. He competed in the 2022 Firenze Open final against Felix Auger Aliassime. Wolf ended reached his career-best World No.56 after the tournament.

J.J. Wolf is dating Emma Sears. The two met while studying at the Ohio State University. Wolf started at the University in 2017, while Sears joined in 2019. She is also an athlete.

The two started their romantic relationship in November 2020. Wolf posted a photo of the couple on his Instagram page on November 30th, 2020. The duo had gone for a trip with friends to Columbus, Ohio. During her time there, Sears has been a member of the Ohio State University’s soccer team. She was a very good player and was named to the honor roll in each of her four years.

Wolf and Sears have been in a relationship for some time. They seem a good fit as both are athletes and understand each other’s schedules.
