Who is Thanasi Kokkinakis coach? Know everything about Todd Langman

Thanasi Kokkinakis

Thanasi Kokkinakis started playing tennis aged 7. He won his first title as a junior at the National Lawn Tennis tournament at the age of 12. In the junior circuit, Kokkinakis ranked as high as No.10 and finished as a runner up at the Australian Open Boys’ singles and US Open boys’ singles and won a Grand Slam title in Men’s doubles with fellow Australian, Nick Kyrgios at Wimbledon in 2013.

The Australian was pegged to have a great senior career, following his exploits in the junior circuit. But he couldn’t replicate his success from the juniors, after being plagued by injuries for most of his career so far.

Since making his debut in professional tennis, Kokkinakis missed many tournaments due to multiple injuries. In fact, 2021 was the first year in his professional career, in which he was injury-free throughout the year.

Kokkinakis started his 2022 season by reaching the semi-finals of ATP Adelaide International, but lost to top seed Gael Monfils in straight sets. In the following week, he won his first ATP singles title at the Adelaide International 2, by defeating Arthur Rinderknech in the finals.

Playing so much tennis cost him at the Oz Open as he couldn’t carry this momentum and as lost in the first round to qualifier Yannick Hanfmann. He had better success in the doubles, where he partnered with Nick Kyrgios and defeated top seeds Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic in the second round. The mega duo continued their winning run and defeated 6th seeded pair of Micheal Venus and Tim Putz in the quarter finals.
