Danielle Collins’ career has been on the rise since she started playing tennis professionally in 2016. Within two years of her turning pro, she broke into the top-50 of the WTA rankings.

Collins initially focused on her education and played tennis only at the collegiate level until 2016. She had remarkable success in her college tennis career, wherein she won two NCAA singles titles, for which she was rewarded with the Honda Sports award, which is given to the best collegiate women’s tennis player.

Her breakthrough year came at the 2019 Australian Open, when she reached the semi-finals. It was the first time Collins was playing in the main draw at the Melbourne major. This result catapulted her to the top-30 of the rankings. The following year, she managed to reach the quarter-finals at Roland Garros, but lost to eventual runner-up Sofia Kenin. In 2021, Collins underwent emergency surgery for endometriosis, after she suffered an abdominal injury at the French Open.

At the 2022 Australian Open, Collins breezed through her first two rounds with relative ease. She then defeated 19th seed Elise Mertens in the third round, before ending the run of first-time quarter-finalist Alize Cornet. She then staged a massive upset in the semi-finals, as she notched up a surprising win over 7th seed Iga Swiatek in straight sets.

Collins uses  Babolat racquets and other equipments are also sponsored by Babolat. She currently uses the Babolat Pure Aero+ racquet. Babolat is also used by top players like Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Leylah Fernandez and Dylan Alcott.

She also has a multi-year sponsorship with ROKiT, an American-based firm that is into the telecommunications industry.

Apart from being a tennis player, Collins is also an entrepreneur and has her own jewelry line. She has a collaboration with Ritani, a company that specializes in fine jewelry. Collins designs the jewelry herself and endorses it on her social media account.

Collins also has a sponsorship deal with St. Petersburg-based Dynasty Financial Partners, which is a provides investment and technology platforms to independent financial advisors. As part of the deal, she wears their logo on her clothing.

New Balance was one of her sponsors, and used to take care of her apparel and footwear. But their deal ended last year, and Collins came into the Australian Open without a proper apparel sponsor.

Following her exploits at the Australian Open, there is no denying that sponsors are set to galore for the American and more lucrative brand deals await her.
