Serena Williams continues her run in her chase for her 4th French Open title which will be her record breaking 24th Grand Slam. She reaches the third round after a crunchy 2nd round match winning 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 after having registered a straight-set win in the first match.
Serena had not made a good start on Clay this season, but has definitely found her groove showing her mental strength and powerful shots during her 2nd match after losing the 2nd set.
Danielle Rose Collins who is making her Clay debut of the season at the French Open 2021 has made good start to the competition. She looked a bit rusty in the 1st match needing the 3rd set to overcome her opponent. However, in the 2nd match she looked solid dropping a bagel in the 1st set and winning the match in straight-sets 6-0, 6-2.
