‘WIN IT ALL!’ Venus Williams backs Novak Djokovic to clinch the 2022 Australian Open title

The ongoing visa debacle concerning World No.1 Novak Djokovic seems to have settled down. After getting medical exemptions from Australian authorities, Djokovic was detained on the Melbourne airport on his arrival. He was sent to facilities meant for detainees for a few days as he decided to challenge the same in judicial court.

On Monday, Djokovic’s visa was reinstated and he was declared a ‘free man’ by the judge. As soon as he was free, he straight away went up to Melbourne Park to train on the Rod Laver Arena with his team. The Serb took to social media to share a picture of himself with his team and thanked his fans for their overwhelming support.

On Djokovic’s most which has almost a million likes, many sports personalities showcased their support towards Djokovic and sent their best wishes to him for the Australian Open. Top Serbian athletes, NFL star Tom Brady and various tennis stars commented on Djokovic’s post.

American tennis legend Venus Williams too wrote on Djokovic’s post and commented, “win it all!” She was talking about Djokovic winning the upcoming Australian Open- which he’ll enter as the favorite.

It’s been 3 days since Djokovic was granted permission to stay in Melbourne by the federal court and Djokovic has returned to training on Rod Laver Arena. He was seen hitting on every single day and looks ready to defend his Australian Open title. Djokovic will be gunning for a record 10th title Down Under and a record 21st slam.

The Serbian machine was also named the top seed and hence is confirmed to headline the Men’s Singles draw alongwith second seed Daniil Medvedev.
