Ashleigh Barty is a name to reckon with in the world of tennis. The Australian tennis star started playing tennis when she was just four years old. After enjoying a lot of success at the junior level, Barty decided to take an indefinite break from tennis.

She tried her hand in cricket before finally returning to her favorite sport in 2016 and the rest, as they say, is history. Till now, Barty has won as many as thirteen singles titles and eleven doubles titles on the WTA Tour, including two Grand Slams. She won the 2019 French Open and 2021 Wimbledon Championships.

The world’s No. 1 tennis star has been in the limelight for a long time. Recently, she made the headlines after announcing that she has been engaged to her long-term partner Garry Kissick. The 25-year-old tennis star revealed the news in an Instagram post.

Barty has kept her love life quite private. However, she has posted a few pictures with her partner on social media platforms over time. Recently, she shared a photo with the love of her life with an engagement ring clearly visible on her finger. Barty captioned the sweet photo: “Future husband.”

The two love birds met at the Brookwater Golf Club back in 2016. The duo dated for a while before making their relationship public in 2017. Kissick is actually an aspiring golfer. He also works as the irrigation technician for the greens at the Brookwater Golf & Country Club in Brisbane.

Barty had a wonderful year on the tennis court this time around. She became just the fifth female to finish three consecutive seasons as the world’s top-ranked player, and now, the news of her engagement has made the year even better for her, as well as for her fans.
