Naomi defeated the Belgian 6-1, 6-1 in just 58 minutes to move into the quarter-finals of the tournament. Andrea Petkovic grinds out another great win as she moves into the last-8. Up against Frenchwoman Clara Burel in the 2nd round, Petkovic won the match 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 in a long 2 hour and 5-minute battle. The German had defeated Russia’s Liudmila Samsonova 6-4, 7-6(3) to begin her 2022 season on a winning note.
