23-time grand slam Champion is off to an amazing start at the WTA 250 event in Parma. Williams, who comes into the tournament after accepting a wild card, defeated her 17 year old opponent in straight sets 6-3,6-2.

The match against the young Italian was just Williams’ second match on Clay this season. The sole reason for her to play this tournament is to gain some match practice ahead of the French Open. She will be gunning for a record 24th slam in the red dirt of Paris this year.

Serena Williams vs Katerina Siniakova: Prediction

Serena Williams
Serena Williams

Serena Williams will go into the match as an overwhelming favorite. She was hitting the ball well in the first round and has adapted to the surface quickly. Her footwork, which was restrictive last week in Rome also seems to getting better and better.

Siniakova would be brimming with confidence after her doubles title win in Madrid a week back. She is making her volleys stick the net and is moving well. She lacks a bit of baseline movement and Williams would definitely exploit that. Expect a good match with Williams moving into the Last 8.

Prediction: Williams to win in straight sets.
