Elise Mertens

Top-seeded Elise Mertens receives a bye in the first round and will begin her campaign against Kristina Mladenovic in the 2nd round who seems the favourite for her 1st round clash. 2021 Wimbledon quarter-finalist Ajla Tomljanovic will begin against American teen Amanda Anisimova and looks the better of the two and is likely to meet 8th seeded Yulia Putintseva in the 2nd round.

4th seeded Daria Kasatkina also gets a bye in the first round and is most likely to play France’s Caroline Garcia. She looks certain to move into the 3rd round where she will meet the winner of Magda Linette and 6th seeded Petra Martic, both of who are the favourites to win their respective first-round clashes.

5th seeded Veronika Kudermetova will begin against Coco Vandeweghe and looks the favourite to advance ahead and meet Marie Bouzkova who will start against a qualifier. 3rd seeded Madison Keys receives a bye in the first round and will meet the winner of British teen star Emma Raducanu and Shuai Zhang.

7th seeded Danielle Collins will begin her campaign against compatriot Shelby Rogers and the winner will be facing yet another American in Round 2 as Sloane Stephens and Alison Riske prepare to clash in the 1st round. 2nd seeded Elena Rybakina gets a first-round bye and is most likely to meet Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska.

Second Semi-Final Prediction: Elena Rybakina vs Madison Keys

Semi-Finals

Ajla Tomljanovic
Ajla Tomljanovic

Ajla Tomljanovic and Daria Kasatkina could set up their 3rd career meeting and their first since 2019. The duo hasn’t played against each other on Hardcourts before. Daria looked in great form on Hardcourts prior to the beginning of the 2021 Clay season. Ajla did not enjoy much success before but has picked form lately and stands a chance to reach her first final since January 2019.

Rybakina looks the favourite for the tie and advance to the finals as she comes from a 4th place finish at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and has been in great form on the surface. Keys would need to battle hard against Rybakina or else it won’t be easy for her to go against Elena.

Finals Prediction: Daria Kasatkina vs Elena Rybakina

Finals

Elena Rybakina
Elena Rybakina

Elena and Daria could set up their 2nd meeting of the year and 3rd of their careers. The duo has met on hardcourts previously and share a win each. However, looking at the current form, Rybakina looks the favourite for the title clash and win her 3rd WTA title and the biggest so far.

Champion: Elena Rybakina
