Drake and Kendrick Lamar famously engaged in a viral back-and-forth of diss tracks earlier this year. Unsuspecting boxing superstar Terence Crawford got name-dropped in one of Lamar’s viral tracks. Here is how the boxing icon reacted to initially finding out about the feature.
Terence Crawford recently sat down for a conversation on Impaulsive. During their discussion, co-host Mike Majlak asked Crawford about what it was like when he found out that Kendrick Lamar had name-dropped him in ‘Euphoria’.
I woke up to like 20-30 messages, like, 'Did you hear that?' I am like, 'What you talking about?' I am listening... I am like that's cool.Terence Crawford on Impaulsive
Kendrick Lamar’s track “Euphoria,” was a multi-layered diss aimed at Drake. Kendrick referred to multiple figures and past beef in the rap industry. In the verse that mentions Terence Crawford, Kendrick challenged Drake to take on Pusha T (Terrence Thornton) again instead of coming after him. Pusha T and Drake have had a notorious feud, with Pusha T famously exposing Drake’s hidden child in “The Story of Adidon.”
Terence Crawford is famous for his undefeated record. In the verse, Kendrick emphasizes his dominance and readiness to confront Drake wherever it may be necessary. ‘Bud’ commented on the beef saying that Drake cannot take things personally, which ignited the beef in the first place. Crawford knows a thing or two about not taking things personally, as trash talk is part of every boxing match. Currently, he is set to take on Israil Madrimov for the WBA middleweight title.
Eddie Hearn says Terence Crawford should be an American superstar
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently sang high praises of Terence Crawford. The undefeated boxer is about to meet his match in Israil Madrimov this August in Los Angeles. Madrimov is the WBA light-middleweight champion who also boasts an undefeated professional record.

Madrimov’s promoter is Eddie Hearn, who believes the undefeated Uzbek will be the first man to beat Crawford. Hearn said that his promotion had been waiting for an opportunity to show Madrimov’s greatness. Apparently, nobody wanted to fight the “154lb wrecking machine” and Crawford will soon find out why.

‘Bud’ has already dominated the light-welterweight, welterweight, and lightweight divisions. Now he will move up to light-middleweight to fight the 29-year-old champion. According to Madrimov, he is about to fight “the best boxer in the world” and described the matchup as “a dream come true”.
