‘The chicken is back’ – Khamzat Chimaev takes a dig at Conor McGregor; Mike Perry steps in!

Conor McGregor makes his much awaited return against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257, this weekend on Fight Island. The Irishman looks to be in the shape of his life, and he is predicting almost a similar result – like what happened when the two faced off back in 2014; a knockout in 60 seconds.

Ahead of his return, the UFC’s official Twitter handle had posted a tweet referring to Conor McGregor’s return – asking fans what version of McGregor they were expecting. Enter, Khamzat Chimaev! ‘The Borz’ took to Twitter to reply to UFC’s tweet, calling Conor McGregor a chicken. However, the drama wasn’t over there. Mike Perry stepped in, taking a jibe at Khamzat Chimaev, accusing him of pulling out of fights.

“The season resumes! What version of @TheNotoriousMMA are you expecting on Saturday?“, the UFC had tweeted. “The chicken is back”, Khamzat replied.

“You’re the only chicken I see pulling out of fights“, Mike Perry replied, stepping in. Mike Perry referred to Khamzat pulling out of the Leon Edwards fight due to coronavirus, citing it as a weak reason.

“Kumquat don’t want the smoke,” Perry added another tweet, posting an edited image of himself knocking out Khamzat Chimaev.

Khamzat Chimaev is expected to take on Leon Edwards on the 13th of March, this year, after the fight was rescheduled for a third time. Mike Perry, on the other hand is without a fight, and a fight against Khamzat, in the future seems a possibility!
