Cheyanna Vlismas and JP Buys, the formerly known power-couple in the UFC started off together young and excited into the promotion with a banger of a performance in Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020. Unfortunately, things aren’t going together anymore. Profesionally, after the conteder series, although Buys didn’t do good and went on a 2-fight skid, but his ex-wife Vlismas went on to win 2 fights after losing her debut as well.
By the end of last year, it was sudden to surprising in the MMA world when the couple announced they’re parting ways, since then, life has taken a different course for both the fighters. Vlismas recently came out to an interview after almost after half an year. She talked about her divorce situation in a rather bad taste, which hasn’t been completed but is in proceeding. More importantly, Vlismas said that she’s in a secret location to relax about which she has not revealed any secret details.

Buys, seemed to see the entire interview and had some strong words of strong allegations against his ex-wife, he took on to Twitter to tag a post from MMA Fighting and quoted it “@MMAFighting Hiding from what? In a country no one knows where she’s at? Everyone here knows she has been in Batumi Georgia with Roman, the same guy she has been having an affair with behind my back. While still married.”
Things are getting heated all of a sudden and Buys has taken a major shot of suspecting Vlismas of infidelity during marriage. So basically, Buys says that Vlismas, before and now that after the marriage ended, was and still is having an affair with UFC Middleweight Roman Dolidze who’s 9-1 in overall MMA record and 3-1 in UFC and trains at the same gym as Buys and Vlismas, ie. Xtreme Couture. Dolidze fights out of Bautami, Georgia.
This will make things get worse as it unfolds. Also, as far as from Buys’ side is concerned around the divorce situation, he is not able to focus on his fighting career as well just like Vlismas because his work permit in the United States has been confiscated after the end of his marriage since he is a South African.
What do you make of the whole situation going on with JP Buys and Cheyanne Vlismas? It is very sad to see such personal things affect lives so profoundly that they aren’t able to do what they love to do for a living, that’s a different kind of frustration on whole another level.
