Cody Rhodes recently celebrated his 39th birthday on June 30 and received a lot of love from the WWE Universe. He recalled a hilarious incident that occurred on his 21st birthday with The Miz. The American Nightmare shared what he did after receiving an incredible gift from the WWE legend on his 21st birthday 18 years ago.
On the latest episode of his series, “What Do You Wanna Talk About?,” Cody Rhodes welcomed The Miz as his guest. The American Nightmare revealed that the A-Lister once gave him a bottle of vodka for his 21st birthday. Unfortunately, the 39-year-old star immediately traded it with a former WWE superstar for a laptop case. The former WWE superstar in question was the late Umaga‘s manager, Armando Estrada.
While Rhodes laughed at the story, Miz, on the other hand, was annoyed in his typical way. He never imagined that Rhodes would trade the bottle for a laptop case. However, it did happen, and the former Stardust traded his bottle with Estrada. What was more astonishing was that the 39-year-old star completed the transaction as soon as Miz got out of the room.
You gave me a bottle of vodka on my actual 21st birthday. I didn't drink it, I traded it for a laptop case that another wrestler had because I needed a case for my laptop. You know what makes it even worse? The transaction took place immediately after you left the room.Cody Rhodes to The Miz on What Do You Wanna Talk About?
This year’s SummerSlam will be important for both superstars. The 43-year-old veteran will host the biggest event of the summer in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Meanwhile, The American Nightmare will defend his undisputed title against The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa on August 3. Only time will tell what transpires in the future.
Cody Rhodes sent a warning to Solo Sikoa and The Rock ahead of his match at SummerSlam
The Bloodline was the biggest obstacle for Cody Rhodes in his quest to finish the story. It finally happened when he defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. Now, ahead of his match against the new Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa, at SummerSlam, he sent a warning to him and possibly even to The Rock.
While speaking on ESPN’s Get Up, The American Nightmare was asked about facing the self-proclaimed leader of The Bloodline. Rhodes recalled how he defeated Reigns at the greatest event in WWE history and expected the same outcome on August 3. He confidently stated that after he defeated Solo, if The Rock came to claim the crown of Samoan supremacy, he would beat him as well.
I defeated The Tribal Chief, the True Tribal Chief, that being Roman Reigns. I look to defeat the pretender, Solo Sokoa, at SummerSlam. If you're also someone in The Bloodline, perhaps named The Rock, we'll be watching because if you claim The Tribal Chief mantle next, same thing will happen to you.Cody Rhodes via ESPN’s Get Up
The Great One last appeared at WrestleMania XL. On night one, he pinned Rhodes in a tag team match. On night two, he once again came out to help his cousin but was chokeslammed by The Undertaker. The Brahma Bull paid a visit to the 39-year-old star on Raw after WrestleMania XL, indicating that their rivalry was far from over.
