In a massive development that may directly affect his status for the Netflix premiere of Raw, The Rock will be in LA a night before that.

On Sunday evening, the 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony will emanate from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. Yesterday, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced via Instagram that he’ll serve as a presenter at the event. To add some context, WWE will be running the Intuit Dome the following night for the first-ever Raw on Netflix.
The Great One has been long rumored to appear on the show. However, there’s no official confirmation on that front. But knowing that The Rock will be in Beverly Hills just 24 hours before the Netflix premiere of Raw, there’s now a bigger chance than ever that he’ll make it. He has done it before.
Back in October, when WWE was in Atlanta for the Bad Blood PLE, The Final Boss showed up at the end to shake everything up. A majority of fans had thought that Rock had come home early, but that wasn’t the case. The Brahma Bull’s one-off appearance came about just because he was in town to attend a high school football game.
He may follow a similar pattern for Raw’s Netflix debut as well. The haven for this year’s Golden Globes is apparently a half an hour’s drive away from Inglewood—the site of Raw on January 6. To his interest at the annual awards show, the 52-year-old mogul’s Moana 2 has received a nomination.
The Walt Disney animation film recently capped off an impressive run at the box office. Against a thrifty budget of $150 million, the movie grossed a staggering $918.2 million worldwide as of January 4. It was the second installment in the Moana series. A third one of them is slated for a July 2026 release. It’d be the live-action adaptation of Moana.
The Rock gains more wealth in his TKO office holding
It’s been almost a year since The Rock was named as a member of TKO’s Board of Directors. Breaking new ground, the Black Adam star has acquired 96,557 shares of TKO stock worth $13.75 million, per a new SEC filing.

As a result, he now owns 289,673 shares amounting to a whopping $41.25 million. If that means anything, Rock’s holding in TKO just went up a notch. A previous report from Fightful noted that The Brahma Bull considers WWE as a priority.
He has told the company’s top brass that he’d continue making on-screen appearances for them on a sporadic basis whenever he’s able to. At WrestleMania XL, the Attitude Era icon competed in his first match in 8 years. His status for The Showcase of the Immortals in 2025 is still a burning question.
