The Undertaker received a lot of flak in January when he called the current WWE product “soft.” He had appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast, where he spoke against the product.
Since his comments went viral, several WWE Superstars replied to his comments. The present and past Superstars including – Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, John Cena and Edge, responded to Taker.
In a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Undertaker clarified his statements. He mentioned that he wasn’t bashing the talent, but was pointing out that the times have changed.
“I wasn’t bashing our talent. Our talent is extraordinary. What they’re physically able to do, I couldn’t imagine doing that back in the day. I have a lot of respect for our roster, but I came from a different time period. My point was it was tough back then,” said The Undertaker.

The Deadman clarified that what he wanted to say was that the times have changed. When he came up in the business the tomes were different. Taker said that he was proud to be a part of the evolution of the company.
“It was just a different time. We didn’t even have trainers on the road. If you had torn gear, you either wore it torn or you tried to fix it yourself. I’m so proud to be part of the evolution of our business. The industry has come so far. It’s a sign of the success and how far we’ve come,” said The Undertaker.
With The Undertaker issuing clarification, the heat that he had received from the industry will definitely reduce. Taker even praised WWE’s Wrestlemania 37 and revealed that he missed being a part of the show.
