“Make him untouchable,” WWE HOF’er picks Brock Lesnar as the only opponent who could propel current world champion to another level
For a long time, Brock Lesnar has been touted as one of the most credible faces who could combat the menace of a reigning WWE Champion.

Brock Lesnar hasn’t been around in WWE since he was alluded to in Janel Grant‘s lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The Beast was accused of several depraved advancements on the plaintiff. Before it became public, Lesnar was set to return in this year’s 30-man Royal Rumble match. It’d have led to a match with Gunther at WrestleMania XL. But it remains a far-fetched dream.
However, The Undertaker firmly believes that Brock is someone who could catapult Gunther to the next level if they were to work a program. Even though The Ring General is one of its kind, a feud with Lesnar would benefit the reigning World Heavyweight Champion in a way that none on the current roster could do, added Taker via ‘Six Feet Under’ podcast.
It can’t be stressed enough how keen Gunther’s been about crossing paths with the former UFC ace. Despite how bleak Brock’s WWE future looks, a return can’t simply be ruled out. Back in July, it was reported that for him to come back, he’d have to be cleared by a legal team; that’s advised WWE to distance themselves from the 10-time World Champion for now.
WWE CCO Triple H later asserted that the company would be open to having conversations with The Beast Incarnate if he were to return. Lesnar and Gunther was a match that almost happened this year. But it wasn’t meant to be. The Austrian’s still not losing hope and considers Paul Heyman‘s former client as his dream opponent.
They’ve interacted once on WWE television. It was at last year’s Royal Rumble match wherein the two goliaths came face-to-face. The crowd inside the Alamodome came unglued at the sight. It was clear as daylight how much they’d been waiting for that moment.
The Undertaker heaped tons of praise on Gunther
Gunther is apparently The Undertaker‘s favorite wrestler to watch for in today’s WWE. Speaking on Six Feet Under podcast, the 59-year-old revealed that he recently told the Imperium leader that he would’ve made a lot of money working with him.
Not only that, but The Deadman gave the Vienna-born grappler the compliment of his life when he said that the 37-year-old is his kind of a guy. Taker sees Gunther as a throwback to a different era.
The Texan has already advised the erstwhile Walter to add some chicken sh*t to his repertoire to avert a premature babyface turn. Everything seems to be on the right track for the former NXT UK Champion, who’s set for a champion vs. champion showdown with Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel next month.
