Cristiano Ronaldo walking into the tunnel after the full time against Newcastle United

Trevor Sinclair, football pundit and former Manchester City star has criticised Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes for not appreciating their fans as they went straight to the tunnel right after the full-time whistle was blown against Newcastle United.

Trevoh Sinclair in the podcast of talkSPORT said, “If you’re not valuing your fans and, at least you have not been beaten and sent packing with your tails between your legs, why don’t you just go over and say thanks for supporting us?”

“I do criticise Manchester United, at times, for their performances and, potentially, at Old Trafford for how quiet they can be. But their away fans are unbelievable, just like most clubs’ away fans.”

“To not even go over and give them a little round of applause to appreciate and value the fans, I think that is poor and it sets a bad example to the young players.”

This is not the first time Cristiano Ronaldo is criticised for running straight into the tunnel after a disappointing performance and Trevor Sinclair is not the only person who have spoken about as former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has also blasted the Portuguese for not taking time to appreciate the fans.
