German coach Thomas Tuchel has said he will do what he thinks is best for the club Chelsea at the moment and won’t do anything to please anybody.

Chelsea beat Newcastle United by two goals to nil as Timo Werner ended his goal drought and Olivier Giroud scored once again from the bench.

Thomas Tuchel has said that he will be extremely strict with his players and they will have to like him for what he is. Tuchel’s introduction has enabled players such as Callum Hudson Odoi and Marcos Alonso to find a place in the side.

Tuchel is not really bothered if his players are pleased with him or not as he won’t shy away from instructing the players during training even if that’s infront of all other players.

Thomas Tuchel is trying to become an unpredictable character in the dressing room and won’t try to appease to the players.

“Just because I’m trying hard to be kind to you guys [the media], does not mean that I am trying too hard and that everybody loves me in the dressing room because this simply does not exist.”

“Can I be a shouter? Yeah, of course, if it’s absolutely necessary. I can be totally emotional, and I can also totally be a shouter if I feel this is the minute to do it and to surprise. If you do it all the time then no one would listen because it becomes a habit, so everybody gets used to it.”

“The goal is also to stay a little bit unpredictable, and most of the time to be reasonable because, for me, it is important we build a trust and relationship that we can rely on.
