Tiger Woods is planning something big to celebrate his 50th birthday. As per reports from Front Office Sports, the golf great will hold an exclusive, invite-only celebration in Palm Beach.

Last week, the 15-time major champion turned 50. Several golfers, including his career rival Phil Mickelson, wished him well and cherished some of his great moments on the greens.

The golfer is now set to celebrate his birthday in style. According to the reports from Front Office Sports, the celebration will take place on January 14. It is reported to be a star-studded event.

Musician Jon Bon Jovi will be headlining the birthday celebration. The event will be private and come with a title sponsor of its own, and have a curated guest list of just 300 people.

As for the dress code, guests are expected to wear a “touch of red” a nod to the color he wore during several final rounds of golf tournaments and his Sun Day Red apparel, which was launched in 2024.

The menu for this lavish celebration will be composed of his Masters Dinners theme. Woods, who won the Masters Tournament 5 times in his career, hosted this event 5 times at the Augusta National Golf Club.

Over the years, these dinners have featured meals like steak and chicken fajitas, stuffed jalapenos, crab cakes, porterhouse steaks, cheeseburgers, French fries, and milkshakes.

Woods has not played competitive golf since The Open Championship in 2024. While he was set to make his 2025 debut at the Genesis Invitational, he withdrew his name from the event following the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods.

He then suffered a major injury. In his preparation for the Masters Tournament, the former World No.1 ruptured his Achilles tendon and was forced to undergo surgery. He then underwent another back surgery and missed the entirety of the 2025 campaign.

At the moment, he is still a far way from being competitively ready. In the midst of this, golf insider Dan Rapaport urged him to play on the PGA Tour Champions and entertain the fans once again.

Tiger, on your 50th birthday, I have a request. I have a plea, really. Play the Champions Tour, please. Pretty please… It doesn’t matter who you’re playing against at this point. The time is running out. We just want to see you do what you do best: win golf tournaments.

Dan Rapaport said to Tiger Woods

Most events on the PGA Tour Champions consist of 54 holes. Players are also allowed to use a golf cart instead of walking all 18 holes. This could be beneficial for Woods, as he could drive a golf cart instead of making long walks to the holes. Whether he will play in this or not is something that remains to be seen.

PGA Tour star snubs LIV Golf and joins Tiger Woods’ TGL team

Tiger Woods is currently not in a condition to play any kind of golf. With Season 2 of the TGL underway, his team, Jupiter Links GC, needed an alternate player. They have roped in a PGA Tour star who joined them after snubbing LIV Golf.

As per reports, the LIV Golf offered a lucrative deal to 2-time PGA Tour winner Akshay Bhatia. The young golfer, however, turned them down. This deal would have seen him join Phil Mickelson‘s HyFlyers GC team.

Hours after this deal, reports emerged that he had signed with the Jupiter Links GC as their alternate player. He will play in the TGL as an alternate to Woods for the team.

Woods’ team will begin their campaign next week with a matchup against the New York Golf Club. The franchise will be hoping for a better performance this season as they only won one game and finished with a 1-4-0 record in the inaugural season.
