On Friday, the golf fans got to see Tiger Woods play a total of 23 holes due to weather interruption during Round 1. While the 15-time major champion went on to shot scores of 73 and 72, there was one moment which he would like to forget.
While trying to play out a shot, Woods accidentally hit a fan sitting among the crowd. The errant shot of the golfer appeared to have knocked down the spectator who seemed to be having a good time before this unfortunate moment.
The patrons around the fan seemed concerned as the wayward shot from Woods through a tough angle hit him. Since then there has been no updates regarding the health of the fan. The 48-year-old golfer himself looked concern for a moment as he walked down the course.
Recently a similar incident of a golf shot hitting a fan nearly happened with Max Homa at The Players Championship. The golfer almost blasted the head off a bystander at the 14th hole. Fortunately, his shot would go on to hit a tree instead bringing much relief to the fans.
Woods went on to make the cut at the end of the round and scripted history. He overtook Fred Couples and Gary Player for the most consecutive cuts made at The Masters with 24. This will be something that the fan will probably remember for their rest of their life as it happened on the day when they got hit by Woods.
