President Donald Trump and Tiger Woods were seen golfing together at Trump International Golf Club on Sunday morning. The game took place before Trump’s visit to the Super Bowl LIX game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The duo have been close for years following their meet-ups from time to time during golfing events and social gatherings. Just a week back Donald Trump offered condolences upon hearing about Woods’ mother Kultida passed away at the age of 80.
While details of her death were not revealed, it was reported to have taken place last Tuesday. The whole golfing community mourned the loss of an astonishing figure who shaped the golfing GOAT’s future.
I was just informed that Tiger Woods’ wonderful Mother, Kultida, passed away — She has gone onto greener fairways! Kultida Woods was an amazing influence on Tiger, and gave him much of his strength and brilliance. Melania and I send our love and prayers to Tiger and his incredible family!

Trump golfed with Tiger Woods this morning and is now flying to the Super Bowl. What a day. Is this the greatest presidential sports combo of all time? I think the answer is yes.

Woods noted how his mother was the role model of his life and how much he’ll miss having her beside her. Just a couple of days before her death, Kultida was seen cheering for her son during the TGL debut.
Donald Trump talks about PGA-PIF merger talks with Tiger Woods
In a statement, Tiger Woods, Jay Monahan, and Adam Scott requested President Donald Trump’s intervention in the PGA Tour-LIV Golf merger talks. Since LIV’s foundation, the golf world has been divided into two.

The merger was supposed to bring the two together and create a better future for the sport. In 2023 the merger was supposed to be announced officially, however, things have not progressed yet.
…President Trump for his interest and long-time support of the game of golf. We asked the President to get involved for the good of the game, the good of the country, and for all the countries involved.

Being a huge fan of the sport, Trump’s intervention might just add to the push for the merger talk. Several top golfers including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm believe that the merger will bring closure to the cold war between the two leagues.
