Tiger Woods has come under the spotlight once again following his recent car crash. As per a wildcam footage released on Thursday, the 15-time major champion was seen claiming to be speaking with “The President” before his DUI arrest.

On March 27, Woods’ luxury SUV would flip over near his residence in Jupiter, Florida. The golfer claimed to be distracted by the radio and was looking at his phone.

While his alcohol test came back negative, he refused to take part in a urinalysis. During the investigation, two small white pills, later identified as hydrocodone, were found in his pocket.

He was arrested and booked under charges of DUI, property damage and refusal to submit. Around 8 hours later, he was released on bail.

The Martin County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office released the bodycam footage of the incident on Thursday. In this, Woods was seen talking to someone on the phone while the officials urged him to hang out with them.

After hanging up the call, the PGA Tour star would claim that he was speaking with the President. However, Woods did not explicitly name Donald Trump in this.

Just talking to the president.

Another footage showed Woods failing the sobriety test. As per the arrest affidavit, he was “sweating profusely” while his eyes were “glassy” and “bloodshot” with his pupils dilated.

He was later seen fighting off hiccups and drowsiness while seating handcuffed in the back of the police car.

Woods has a good relationship with Trump. The two of them have teed off with each other several times and played a round of golf.

The golfer also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Trump. After this arrest last Friday, the 45th and 47th U.S. President expressed that he was feeling bad for the golfer and sent his prayers.

4 days after his crash and arrest, Woods broke his silence. In a post on X, he shared a statement revealing that he was taking a break from golf and seeking treatment.

While speaking with the New York Post recently, Trump admitted that he had spoken with the former World No.1 golfer. During this, he claimed that Woods was living a life of “pain.

He’s doing good. He tested negative for alcohol, as you know… He lives a life of pain. He has a lot of pain. He’s an amazing guy. He’s an amazing athlete. He does have pain. He doesn’t have an alcohol problem, but he does have pain.
