15x major champion Tiger Woods confirms relationship with Vanessa Trump days after dating rumors heated up

A few days ago, rumors about Tiger Woods dating Donald Trump‘s ex-daughter-in-law Vanessa Trump heated up. On Sunday, the 15-time major champion confirmed their relationship through a heartfelt post across his social media accounts.

Woods’ dating life has often been in the spotlight. After his split with ex-wife Elin Nordegren, the former World No.1 had been in high-profile relationships with Erica Herman, Lindsey Vonn, and Rachel Uchitel.

The rumors of Woods’ dating Trump came out after he announced another massive health setback. In a post on social media, Woods informed that he had undergone surgery after he ruptured his Achilles while trying to get back in form before the Masters Tournament. As a result of this, the golfer is expected to miss the entirety of the 2025 season.

In the post across his social media channels, Woods shared two images of himself along with Vanessa Trump. The 49-year-old would then request privacy as he got ready for another journey of his life.

As per reports from Page Six, Woods was a bit hesitant to go beyond a friendship with her due to his close ties with President Donald Trump. However, after some time both started developing feelings for each other. As for the US President, he is reported to have “approved” this relationship.

At the moment it is unclear how the two of them met each other. According to reports, the two had been dating since November 2024. During the Genesis Invitational, Woods was seen entering the Torrey Pines course along with Trump and her daughter Kai Trump.

The duo would then have an “awkward” but “civil” exchange on the call. Nordegren’s first response on hearing him dating Vanessa Trump was “Seriously? A Trump? For real?“. While she was amused to hear that, she quickly accepted it.

While playing at the Hoag Classic on PGA Tour Champions, 1992 Masters Tournament winner Fred Couples informed that he has been in conversation with him. The 65-year-old claimed that Woods was in “great spirits” despite this huge setback.

After withdrawing his name from the Genesis Invitational following the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods, the golfer was expected to take part in some bigger events. However, with this latest setback, he will be out for around 6-12 months.

Woods’ last official start came at the 2024 Open Championship. After missing the cut in that major championship, he underwent back surgery and did not play in the Hero World Challenge. He did take part in the PNC Championship along with his son Charlie, where they finished as runners-up after losing in the playoffs.
