While Aberg was putting, Woods had joined the commentary team. As the youngster sank his putt in, the 15-time major champion would put his hands on his head as he seemingly could not believe that his shot had gone in.

Meanwhile, Xander Schauffele, who had missed his putt earlier, was also seen to have been left stunned. The American just tried to shake his head in disbelief as he failed to win the hole for his team.

The New York GC had to wait long for their first point in the game. Matt Fitzpatrick got them on the board while they were 6-0 down. In the end, the Bay Golf Club ran away as comfortable 9-2 winners in the first match of the TGL.

In a video posted by the TGL, Woods was seen having a chat with Rory McIlroy. During this, he revealed he was asked to hit the camera high on top of the 60-foot giant screen. Woods would later ask where the camera was.

The 49-year-old would accomplish the task in the first attempt. In the video, Woods was seen clearly hitting his shot off the camera. As Woods spoke about the incident, McIlroy seemed intrigued by the effort of the golf veteran.

Speaking of Woods, his team will play in the TGL next week when Jupiter Links GC takes on the Los Angeles Golf Club. There will only be one match every week as the members of this league will also find themselves competing in other PGA Tour and DP World Tour events.
