Joe Rogan is well known for his fascination with animals and wildlife. Often, with his guests, Rogan talks about the animals in the jungle and how amazing they are. Rogan often talks about grizzly bears, as he loves them and even imitates them by making their sound.
However, it surprised a lot of fans when he chose a tiger when asked about who would win if every animal in the world fought each other. According to Rogan, tigers are the biggest cats, very aggressive, and would beat anybody in front of them. Rogan busted the myth that lions don’t like being in the jungle, so they are not the kings of the jungle, and it’s a tiger.
He said: “Tigers, it’s a big cat. Tigers are the kings, that’s the real king of the jungle. It’s not a lion. Lions live in the savannas, by the way. Do they live in the jungle? Lions don’t actually live in the jungle…so that’s a bullshit name.”
Joe Rogan claimed that a lion is smaller than a tiger and shouldn’t take the king title if it doesn’t live inside the jungle. The UFC color commentator was pretty confident with his choice and seems like will bet all his money on Tiger if anything like this ever happens.
Joe Rogan compares hunting to a psychedelic experience
Joe Rogan has been hunting for some years now and absolutely loves that activity, and during a podcast with Steven Rinella, he talked about his first experience. Rogan explained how he killed a buck for the first time and how looking into that animal’s eyes was so different for him.
He said: “I remember when you and I went on that first trip to Montana. The moment where I shot that buck, which was the first animal I’ve ever killed, and that moment where I locked eyes on it, and we’re in the wild, and you see this thing, and it was totally an unusual experience. I remember thinking this is almost bizarrely almost psychedelic because this world is so different.”
As expected, Rogan often gets backlash from various activists for his views on hunting, but it seems like the 55-year-old doesn’t care at all and likes to enjoy his time in the wild.
