LeBron James will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. His legacy is defined by sustained excellence and longevity. The 2025-26 campaign represents James’ 23rd season in the NBA. A number no player has achieved in league history.
Drafted as the number one pick in the 2003 NBA draft, LeBron James has achieved loads of accolades and has rewritten several NBA records. The four-time champion has been the face of the league for nearly two decades and continues to have unparalleled influence on the NBA.
The “King” came into the NBA with huge expectations and has managed to even surpass them. He has won four NBA Championships, four Finals MVPs, four league MVPs, one scoring title, and is the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. A record that many believe may never be broken.
Since acquiring Luka Doncic at the trade deadline last season, James has made it clear that the Slovenian guard is the focal point of the team as the Lakers prepare for life in the post-James era. Despite turning 41, James has shown no signs of slowing down. After a slow start to the season, he is currently averaging 21.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and seven assists in 42 appearances.
Renowned Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet has been an avid fan of the New York Knicks since his childhood days. He is often seen courtside whenever the Knicks take to the court. The Hollywood star was a prominent figure in the front row last season during the Knicks’ 2025 playoff run.
Chalamet made an appearance on the Mind the Game podcast, co-hosted by LeBron James and Steve Nash. The 30-year-old actor brought his mother along and took to Instagram on Tuesday to share photos of his mother, Nicole Flender, meeting James. Chalamet captioned it:

LeBron James may not be the player he once was, but he continues to be the face of the league and the biggest crowd-puller whenever he steps onto the court. Till he decides to hang up his boots, he will continue to be the main attraction.

There is no doubt that James’ popularity holds no boundaries. He was selected as an All-Star for a record-extending 22nd time this year despite missing several games and having a slow start to the campaign.
A video from Monday, which surfaced online, showed Chalamet snapping photos of his mother’s interaction with James while the two exchanged words of encouragement. Flender said:
I love you, man. I love you. I love you so much.

LeBron James helped the Lakers secure a win over New Orleans Pelicans
The Lakers have suffered a significant dip in form since the turn of the year. However, after three consecutive losses, they have now bounced back with three wins in a row after a 110-101 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night.
The win improved the Lakers’ record to 37-24 as they sit at sixth place in the Western Conference standings and are two games ahead of seventh-place Phoenix Suns. Meanwhile, the Pelicans continue to struggle and find themselves in 13th place in the standings with a 19-44 record.

All five starters recorded double-digit points for the Lakers, with Doncic leading the scorers with 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds and seven assists. LeBron James recorded 21 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two blocks. It was an efficient night for James as he shot at 66.7% from the field.
James and the Lakers are scheduled to take on the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena on March 5. It is a big clash for both teams as they are separated by just 0.5 games.
