Comedian Shane Gillis was picked to be a special guest on the College Game Day apart from actor Timothee Chalamet. While the former is widely known for his support of Notre Dame, the latter’s inclusion was a surprise to all. Subsequently, the entire football world was left divided by his ‘ball knowledge’. However, Gillis had something to say about that.

Shane Gillis made an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday and talked about many things life and career. The panel started by mentioning SNL’s recent decision to fire the comedian which sparked immense chaos on the internet. Having said that, one of the guys revealed that Timothee Chalamet will be joining the Live next week as a musical guest.

Surprised at the information, McAfee praised him for the football knowledge that he displayed on the show as a College Game Day guest. On the subject, Gillis questioned if any of his picks actually won, later hilariously adding that he had sounded good regardless.

Timothee Chalamet’s inclusion surely sparked mixed reactions from the public. In their defense, the actor had never publicly presented an interest in the sport on the internet or otherwise. Notably, the Dune lead is off the radar and extremely private about his personal life and interests. Consequently, some claimed that Chalamet was there solely to promote his then-upcoming movie, making sense of his unknown connection to the sports world.

Regardless, the rest of the fans, the show hosts included, were in awe of Timothee Chalamet’s knowledge of the history of the teams. Additionally, he kept the stats off of his tips, shutting off the doubters. While his picks might not have been dominating, they sure were well-informed.

Shane Gillis acquainted with legendary coach Nick Saban on College Game Day at the Pat McAfee Show. Suffice it to say, the two had a rather unconventional meeting starting with heat. Gillis, joked that Saban and Alabama Football paid off their players. Later that day, having seated with Saban, McAfee put Gillis on the spot, only for the head coach to have taken offense to the comedian’s joke.

While that was that, sometime later, Pat McAfee invited Nick Saban for an interview and backtracked the interaction. However, the Alabama head coach brushed it off as amusing, gaining a laugh from the entire crew. Furthermore, he accepted being understanding of the comedian’s intentions and his job to do what he did.

Saban cleared Gillis off when he said that he had no harsh feelings towards the comedian. In addition to that, his family members liking him was a plus. He revealed that his daughter, Kristen was the one to like him, likely making him understand his play of humor.
