In the UFC, there have been several intriguing rivalries that have resulted in intense confrontations between fighters. However, beefs between active and former UFC fighters are quite rare. One notable feud recently emerged between Kevin Holland and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. Shortly after, another former UFC fighter, TJ Dillashaw, weighed in on the situation.

Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw is a close friend of Rampage Jackson. During the JAXXON Podcast episode, Dillashaw discussed several intriguing topics. Additionally, he also reacted to the recent exchanges between Jackson and Kevin Holland. While sharing his thoughts, the former UFC bantamweight champion seemingly critiqued Holland’s behavior as an MMA fighter.

You need to be obsessed about it every day of your life, you need to be OCD about training, about being the best, not losing one practice like he’s talking about bringing training partners in, going home and smoking weed… Just sitting here and listening to him (Kevin Holland) talk and then watching his skils on TV, he doesn’t have the mindset for, he’s just happy being on TV.

According to Dillashaw, Holland does not project a disciplined or ambitious personality to observers. The former UFC bantamweight champion emphasized that an MMA fighter must follow strict training regimens to advance their career.

Interestingly, this statement follows his evaluation of Holland’s recent fight against Reinier de Ridder at UFC 311. Dutch UFC middleweight prospect Reinier de Ridder came into his fight against ‘Trailblazer’ as an underdog. Surprisingly, within just a few minutes of the first round, de Ridder submitted Holland with a rear-naked choke.

Despite Trailblazer’s reputation for executing impressive submission techniques, he was unable to counter de Ridder’s performance. Additionally, Holland’s recent conflict with Rampage Jackson, just days before the fight, intensified Dillashaw’s criticism of him.

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson was one of the most aggressive fighters in the UFC and even held the light heavyweight title in the 2000s. After retiring, Jackson hosts the JAXXON Podcast. Additionally, he has exchanged online insults with several prominent figures on multiple occasions. As a result, Rampage has had his differences with many notable fighters, including Kevin Holland.

Tonflict with Holland began when Jackson made a comment on an Instagram post that seemed to offend the middleweight fighter. The situation escalated to the point where the ‘Trailblazer’ was ready to confront Jackson physically. However, Rampage remained calm and maintained composure during the podcast episode. Days later, he shared his thoughts on the situation.

I had to be real professional. I was real proud of myself… A man-to-man, you just don’t tell another man, ‘Shut the fu*k up’…without violence being threatened…I’m like, I’m gonna be the bigger guy…he got a fight this weekend…I cared about his fight and I don’t want to lose my temper, fight him and get in trouble, and Dana White get mad at me because sometimes you got to be the bigger person in times like that.

Holland is known for his reputation as a crime-fighting vigilante. Over the years, there has been considerable buzz surrounding the American fighter’s activities on the streets. This might have given him the confidence to confront Jackson as well. However, the situation never escalated, and it’s now uncertain whether the two will engage with each other again.
