Ben Askren is set to take on YouTube star Jake Paul in an eight-round pro boxing match on the 17th of April, this year. He is all set to make his return to combat sports, since fighting Demian Maia way back in 2019, at UFC Fight Night. After getting a hip replacement done, Askren is all set to go and prove it in the boxing ring.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani of ESPN, ‘Funky Ben’ seemed pretty confident that he would knock out Jake Paul in the 7th round, adding that he would take some time to wear him down, to make him (Jake Paul) hate his life.

“TKO round 7!“, Askren replied when he was asked as to how the fight against Jake Paul would pan out.

He then added, “It is going to take me some time to wear him down to make him hate his life. And then, you know, eventually. I’m a rich celebrity, I don’t need to get f***ing punched anymore. I’m just gonna roll over.“

Though, Ben Askren might defeat Jake Paul, as he predicts; one mustn’t take Jake Paul lightly, as the YouTuber has been taking boxing seriously. He is coming off a victory against former basketball star, Nate Robinson, knocking him out cold in the second round.
