The hosts began with a 1-1 draw against Canada followed by a 1-0 defeat to Great Britain, but secured a knockout berth in a last gasp must win match against Chile, winning narrowly 1-0. Though Japan have shown the resilience for a fight and have a well gelled defence, they need to find themselves amongst the goals against Sweden.
