Israel made an impressive start to their Olympics campaign. Though they lost 5-6 against the Republic of Korea, they almost stunned their opponents. The team’s roaster was put forth on July 2 with Mike Scioscia being named as the manager. The 24-member roaster has 12 pitchers and 12 position players. The team also has 19 USA Baseball national team alumni. For their opening match on Friday, the USA are deemed as the firm favourites.
