Tokyo Olympics Water Polo
USA and Italy will clash against each other in am mouth-watering group stage match at Tokyo Olympics on July 29, Thursday. Both teams are placed in Group A of the competition, and have almost sealed a place in the quarterfinals.
USA come into the match, having won both of their group games so far. They defeated South Africa by a score-line of 20-3, and Japan by a narrow margin of 15-13. They are on top of Group A, and a draw or win against Italy would guarantee a place in the quarterfinals.
On the other hand, Italy have won one match, and drawn another. The Italians thrashed South Africa 21-2, and drew against Greece 6-6. A win against USA would ensure that they progress to the quarterfinals.

Italy won the bronze medal in Water Polo at Rio 2016 Games, whereas, United States of America could not progress beyond the group stage. Italy defeated USA in their group stage outing in 2016, and the latter will hope to avenge their loss in Tokyo.
