Last night at the T-Mobile Arena, UFC 326 took place with Charles Oliveira fighting Max Holloway in the main event. Oliveira won the fight via unanimous decision and took home the BMF title after a dominating, but underwhelming battle. Tom Aspinall watched the event live, and one of his comments about Dana White certainly went viral.

During the broadcast of UFC 326, the promotion announced the much-anticipated UFC White House card. CEO Dana White was interviewed by veteran commentator Joe Rogan about the hype surrounding the event. Aspinall watched it live and made a sneaky comment on Rogan and White’s appearances. 

I know my eyes are not great at the moment, but them two look very similar in that outfit. And their bald heads.

Both Joe Rogan and Dana White have worked together in the UFC for more than twenty years and have built a friendship. Because of their bald heads and similar looks, fans and interviewers have occasionally mistaken White for Rogan before. One memorable moment happened during an interview when the host, Sage Steele, confidently mistook White for Joe Rogan.

Despite such confusion, the two share deep respect, and Rogan reportedly has a clause in his contract that states he can leave anytime if White leaves the promotion. The same cannot be said about Tom Aspinall, who is currently at odds with White and UFC following his eye injury. Following UFC 320, Aspinall has been recovering and has mentioned that he hasn’t got the needed support from White. 

Recently, Tom Aspinall shocked the MMA world after signing with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Talent Agency despite the promoter’s ongoing feud with Dana White. The move came shortly after White and Hearn had a public fallout when the UFC CEO reportedly signed boxer Conor Benn for $15 million.

Dana White later addressed the situation publicly and explained that he has always respected Tom Aspinall and never tried kicking him while down. He also clarified that he genuinely liked Aspinall as a fighter and supported the heavyweight champion throughout several important moments.

Nevertheless, the decision and surrounding developments have fueled speculation among fans about their relationship and what consequences it might bring.

With Tom Aspinall currently sidelined because of a serious eye injury, the UFC decided to move forward with this heavyweight clash. During a recent YouTube video, the UK native shared his honest thoughts and opinions regarding the upcoming Pereira versus Gane fight.

Who else is gonna fight [Alex]? The [heavyweight] division is on its (expletive). There’s not many big fights to make. Obviously I want to fight the winner of that. Just waiting to be given the green light from the doctors.

Tom Aspinall continued. 

Earlier, there were strong discussions about Alex Pereira fighting Jon Jones at the White House card, and both fighters verbally agreed. However, according to Dana White, Jones was never actually the preferred option for the historic event despite widespread rumors.

The CEO even launched into a rant explaining that Jones suffered from severe arthritis and therefore retired from UFC. White further stated that because of those health problems, Jon Jones would never fight again inside the UFC octagon.

Meanwhile, the UFC heavyweight division is currently considered by many fans to be at one of its lowest points. Because of that situation, a star like Alex Pereira could potentially bring excitement and fresh attention back to the division. If Pereira defeats Ciryl Gane and eventually faces Tom Aspinall, fans could witness a massive heavyweight clash before the year ends.
