Only one day left before Tom Brady makes his broadcasting debut in the Cleveland Browns-Dallas Cowboys game with Fox Sports. The former NFL quarterback switched career paths after retiring from football last year.
On Saturday, Brady made a special appearance during halftime of his alma mater, Michigan, taking on the Longhorns at the Big House. The 46-year-old joined colleague Joel Klatt at the Browns’ Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.
Klatt welcomed the former Patriots quarterback and asked how he felt only 24 hours until covering an NFL game as an analyst.
Obviously super excited. There’s a little anxiousness obviously; there’s been a lot of preparation that’s gone into it from a lot of people, and it’s been a couple-of-year journey.Tom Brady replied to Klatt
Brady will share the FOX booth with Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi, who will be down on the field.
They’ve been too good to me. I’m kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop… they’ve been absolutely unbelievable.Tom Brady added
Tom Brady breaks down Dak Prescott and Deshaun Watson matchup in Cleveland
Klatt made sure to quiz the 7x Super Bowl-winning quarterback on his opinion about the Cowboys and Browns quarterbacks facing each other on opening weekend. Brady claimed both Dak Prescott and Deshaun Watson are equally good at their jobs, but they will play for different reasons.
They have huge years ahead, but they are coming off obviously different seasons last year. Dak’s coming off probably the best season of his career—statistically. Deshaun wants to get out there and prove that Cleveland made the right investment in him, and he can come through when it matters. It’s a little bit of a different story between two talented QBs.Tom Brady said
Prescott and Watson have peaked in different stages of their careers. However, in Brady’s eyes, the defense will have a much bigger impact on Sunday.
It’s gonna be a tough, hard-nosed football game… You come to the AFC North, and you understand it’s always gonna be battle when you go to these fields.Tom Brady said
"I get to cover a sport that I absolutely love… it can't get here fast enough." @TomBrady joins @JoelKlatt to talk about his debut tomorrow.

At the end of the day, both the Cowboys and Browns want to get off to the best possible start, and so too does Brady. Being a quarterback for so long, he knows almost everything there is to know about the position, but being an analyst is a very different ball game.
Earlier this year, the multiple-time NFL and Super Bowl MVP revealed how he gets emotional when talking about football. He has worked on keeping his emotions in check during game days. Klatt parted ways with interesting advice for Brady.
Listen, this is an analyst-driven sport. We all watch the game through the analyst’s eyes, and that’s why I, and the rest of America, is excited about getting you in the booth so we can watch football through your eyes [Tom Brady].Joe Klatt ended the interview
Brady went through a couple of dress rehearsals before starting his career in the broadcasting business. He was in the booth for the 2023 UFL final and also presented the trophy. However, he has to put in the extra effort to prove Drew Bledsoe wrong.
