FOX will not waste much time and put Tom Brady to work from the get-go. The seven-time Super Bowl winner will make his broadcasting debut when the Dallas Cowboys take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season.

On Monday night, FOX Sports announced Tom Brady’s inclusion in their matchday lineup. It’s unclear the role he will take on but sources closely monitoring the news predict that it will either as an announcer or as an analyst.

The 46-year-old announced in May 2022 that he had signed a massive 10-year $375 million deal with FOX Network. He made a surprise appearance before the 2023 college football season began, teasing his involvement with the company.

To make Brady’s debut special, week 1 will be a doubleheader. It will be the first time in five years that FOX will host a Dallas Cowboys game on Prime slot. Dak Prescott and co. will be on the road to the Dawg Pound to face the Cleveland Browns.

Tom Brady sounded excited to call a Dallas Cowboys game

In his 23-year career-long NFL career, Brady faced the Cowboys eight times in total. He played five times against Jerry Jones’ side while at the New England Patriots, and thrice while donning the red of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He won on every single occasion barring their last fixture, which happened to be Brady’s last game of his career as well. His best performance against the Cowboys came during the 2007 season when he recorded 388 yards and 5 touchdowns.

After the announcement that he will be part of the FOX contingent for the Cowboys-Browns game, Brady expressed his excitement.

Amazing. Obviously having the Cowboys on is a huge draw--As 'America's Team' — that's gonna get a little hard for me to say that all the time understanding they were the competition for a long time — but in this new role, I know the Cowboys, how important they are to this network.
Tom Brady said during FOX’s official announcement on Monday

He also played 9 times against the Cleveland Browns, winning 7 times. The best result came during the 2013 season when he threw for 418 yards and 2 touchdowns with a completion rate of 61.5 per Stat Muse.

Before the big reveal, Brady sat through a night of roasting. The 15-time Pro Bowler was the subject of Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time.

From Kevin Hart to Drew Bledsoe and even Kim Kardashian was present to make fun of Brady’s career on and off the field. While the show received great reviews, few were unhappy with the jokes, including Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, and even retired NFL center Jason Kelce.
