In his NFL career, Tom Brady has cherished many battles with that era of elite quarterbacks. As most were wins against them, he gushes while talking about them to this date. But he does not like to be reminded of one particular quarterback duel. Losing two Super Bowls to Eli Manning still irks him. Now, a while after both retired they are set to resume their rivalry.

This time, their rivalry will not resume in American football, rather it will be in a soccer league in England. Tom Brady is a part owner of Sky Bet League One club Birmingham City FC. Keeping that in mind, Wrexham AFC roped in Manning to become their latest ambassador. Manning announced this on his official X account.

Both Wrexham and Birmingham will battle for the lead in the Sky Bet League One table on Monday the 16th. A win for either will give them a head-to-head advantage over their title rivals with much of the season still to go. But both clubs are looking to achieve promotion to the Sky Bet Championship, the second highest tier of the ultra-competitive English soccer competitions.

Their first title fight was in Super Bowl XLII. No one would have dreamed of anyone else lifting the Lombardi trophy other than the Brady led undefeated New England Patriots. But to everyone’s surprise, a 10-6 New York Giants defeated them in one of the greatest Bowl games in NFL history. Eli Manning won their second duel in Super Bowl XLVI, again defeating the much better Patriots squad.
