On Sunday, Tom Brady was busy in his second weekend as a FOX analyst for Sunday Night Football. On the very next day, he left the country to take part in another type of football, this time as part owner. With Sky League One championship hopeful Birmingham City taking on Wrexham, Brady ended up in England, only to be welcomed by the hostile English soccer environment.

Wrexham fans had lined up one end of St. Andrew’s Stadium in Birmingham while waiting for the match to begin. When they noticed Tom Brady walking on the pitch on his way to the VIP stands, they shouted in unison; “Who the f**k? Who the f**king hell are you?”

Those words yelled at Brady in a chorus-type unison and in the typical Welsh version of British English was enough to make one understand that they had been waiting to deliver this to him. Brady took it all in and was seen giving them a thumbs up.

Just like the fans, the build-up to the game dubbed the ‘Hollywood Derby’ saw owners of both sides’ trade blows. First, Wrexham part-owner Rob McElhenney brought in Brady’s ‘Kryptonite’ Eli Manning‘s help in taking that first shot. To this, Brady came out with a jibe of his own, where he brandished his seven Super Bowl rings.

Seeing this, Manning brought along Wrexham part-owner Ryan Reynolds‘ friend Hugh Jackman to come in and take another shot at Brady. It seems the Wrexham fans fed off from what their owners were doing. At the end, though, it was the now FOX analyst who had the last laugh.

Tom Brady’s Birmingham City defeat Wrexham

Tom Brady, as a part owner in Birmingham City, takes pride in supporting the soccer club. After working until late night to fly the next day to England showed how much he wanted to be a part of something he has invested in. Soccer legend David Beckham and son Romeo were at hand to help him acclimatize with the nuances of this other version of football.

The 47-year-old showed his nerves when Wrexham took an early lead. Then his passion showed through whenever City could not finish a shot at the goal. That passion turning into jubilation as League One record transfer, Jay Stansfield, scored two goals to give them the lead.

Birmingham City ultimately ended up winning 3-1, helping their bid to climb to the top of Sky Bet League One. Tom Brady’s presence could influence them and give them that certain edge as they look to return to the Sky Bet Championship.
