Tom Brady will be in the FOX booth at the nation’s capital on January 26 to cover the much-awaited NFC Championship game between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles. Before that, Brady, like any other fan, predicted which team will go through to the Super Bowl in New Orleans in February.
In Tuesday’s episode of the Let’s Go podcast, Brady discussed with Bill Belichick the chances of the two sides. The seven-time Super Bowl winner acknowledged both offenses but gave the Eagles the edge over the Commanders.
However, the 47-year-old further added that the game has the potential to go down to the wire because of the Commanders’ rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
They’re [the Commanders] gonna fight to the end, and this young quarterback [Jayden Daniels], if he goes and plays flawlessly, it’s gonna come down to one drive at the end of the game.

Daniels, the Commanders’ second overall pick, completed 331 passes for 3568 yards for 25 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, along with 148 carries for 831 yards and 6 rushing touchdowns.
The 24-year-old entered into the best-ever rookie conversation after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then the Detroit Lions in the playoffs to set up the NFC title game against the Eagles. Daniels combined threw 46 completions for 550+ passing yards and 4 touchdowns in those two fixtures.
Tom Brady keeps the Eagles as the favorites to beat the Commanders
Brady knows a thing or two about winning a conference title because he won 10 in his long career (9 AFC with the Patriots and one NFC with the Buccaneers). He understands what it takes to win a trophy.

Brady highlighted that Eagles defensive savant Vic Fangio has set up a mean Eagles’ defense with players such as Quniyon Mitchell making a name for themselves.
The [Philadelphia] Eagles’ got a really great defense. They got a D-line that can make an impact. They can stop the run without having to shove extra bodies up there. We’ll see how the injuries in the Eagles’ secondary, if [Quinyon] Mitchell can play, how that affects them.

The Eagles topped the defensive charts as the best overall, best-passing defense [174.8 average yards allowed], second-best scoring defense [17.8 average points allowed], fifth-best red zone defense [50.0% touchdown allowed], and third-best third-down defense [35.5% touchdowns allowed].
Brady may be onto something. Vegas also favors the Eagles to win. As per FanDuel Sportsbook, Nick Sirianni’s Eagles are 4.5-point favorites to reach the Super Bowl by winning the NFC Championship game.
