Before finding himself in an absolute mud hole at the hands of The Bloodline this week on SmackDown, Randy Orton dodged a bullet. He yet again outsmarted one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Tommaso Ciampa, in his attempt to surreptitiously RKO The Viper. This time around, Ciampa devised a foolproof plan to deceive Orton, as seen in the video uploaded by Johnny Gargano on X.
That involved The Blackheart’s daughter, Willow, approaching Randy Orton for an autograph. She followed her dad’s advice and went to Randy, who was minding his own business in the hallway. Once Orton noticed it was Tommaso’s little angel who’d asked him for his initials, he immediately bowed down to her. In the meantime, Ciampa ran towards The Apex Predator just for the latter to get out of harm’s way.

The former NXT Champion miserably took a bump in front of his daughter, who was giggling at her father’s fate. The DIY member had everything that should’ve worked in his favor, but that went begging. And just like that, Ciampa’s streak of failures at nailing Orton down with an RKO continues.
Speaking of what Tommaso Ciampa and his tag team partner Johnny Gargano did on SmackDown, they successfully retained their gold. The DIY outhit Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a rematch from the last time they met a night before Money in the Bank on the blue brand.
But it didn’t end well for all four men last Friday. After their match got over, Bloodline’s enforcer, Jacob Fatu, ran through each and every one of them. Out and out, it was a bittersweet night for the tag team champions. They might now find themselves in hot waters, as The Bloodline could be after them.
Randy Orton sustained a callous beatdown on SmackDown
During the main event of this week’s SmackDown, the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline brought mayhem to Cody Rhodes. The latter crumbled upon being forged through a 4-on-1 onslaught. Randy Orton made his way out to even up the odds.

But it was too little, too late. The Bloodline managed to curb The Apex Predator’s exploits. And it went downhill then. The 14-time World Champion was ganged up by Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. The trio power-bombed Randy through the commentary table.
Cody couldn’t do anything as he was handcuffed by the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa. Rhodes had earlier granted Solo a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam. It would be interesting to see how it fares out, especially with Roman Reigns‘ return rumors beginning to cram up.
