Her amusing promos and entertaining character work landed her on top of the AEW women’s roster, even holding the AEW Women’s Championship for most of the year. She eventually entered into a feud against her protege, Mariah May, a rivalry that is still ongoing.

The latest episode of Dynamite comprised a match between Queen Aminata and Storm, featuring Mariah May on the commentary desk. The Kiwi made her entrance for the match wearing ring gear that was highly similar to that of the AEW Women’s Champion. She even copied her mannerisms and her entrance music. This imitation left The Glamour stunned as she watched from the announcers’ table.

The 26-year-old had turned on her mentor shortly after winning the Owen Hart Women’s Tournament. She left Storm bloodied and made it clear that she was coming after her AEW Women’s Championship. These two went on to have a match at All In, during which May even slapped her own mother.

This loss devastated Storm, who announced her retirement, stating that fans were never going to see her in a professional wrestling ring again.
