When Toni Storm speaks, everyone listens. Which is why she seemingly harangued Nikki Bella at the AEW Dynasty post-show media scrum. After a successful title defense against Thunder Rosa earlier on in the night, the reigning AEW Women’s Champion oozed narcissism at first. And then she went on to dissect one-half of The Bella Twins.
Quite recently, Nikki stated that she was extremely close to joining Tony Khan‘s promotion. Moreover, she had even notified her twin sister Brie about her decision but backed off at the eleventh hour, citing her son, Matteo. While the two-time Divas Champion might’ve realized that she needed to prioritize her 3-year-old over her wrestling aspirations, Storm has an entirely different answer.
The Timeless One said Nicole Garcia, aka Nikki Bella, refrained from coming on board as she couldn’t hold a “p****-scented candle” to what Toni does. Storm derived pleasure from talking down on Bella and didn’t break a sweat. And why not? The Auckland-born wrestler is relishing her heyday and believes there’s no one who could stand a chance against her.
Nicole Garcia thought about joining AEW when she saw Mercedes did. You know why she didn’t? Because then she saw me and realized she can’t hold a p*****-scented candle to what I do.Toni Storm on why Nikki Bella didn’t join AEW
Before she doubled down on Nikki, Storm took a shot at the fans who crave storytelling and cinematic experience in pro wrestling. In response, the 28-year-old said, “Go see a f****** movie.” The former Outcasts member also aimed a dig at Triple H coming out to celebrate with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL after the culmination of his story with Roman Reigns. She told Tony Khan, her boss, that no matter how many stories she finishes, she’ll never call him into the ring to partake in her moment.
Tony Khan revealed whether he would welcome Nikki Bella to AEW
It didn’t take long for Tony Khan to respond to Nikki Bella’s yearning to be a part of AEW. While speaking on The Battleground Podcast, the AEW prez said that he shares a mutual interest in the former WWE Superstar.
Khan affirmed how much he respects The Bella Twins and called them family, as Brie’s husband, Bryan Danielson, is an integral part of their roster. A while ago, The Fearless One addressed her tumultuous departure from WWE.
Furthermore, she was disappointed by how WWE snubbed her name from Barmageddon during an episode of Monday Night Raw. Lead commentator Michael Cole promoted the aforementioned gameshow live on-air. However, there was no mention of Nikki. She thought that WWE wanted to ban her.
