Tabillo didn’t look like he was going to be stopped in the second set and was on his way to a straight sets win while leading 5-1. Surprisingly, Paul bounced back to win five consecutive match points and that was when things suddenly began to change.

Paul dug deep to win the set after a close net rally. He then fended off Tabillo by winning 12 of the 15 games in the third set to secure a hard-fought victory.

2) Cincinnati Open Semifinals, Frances Tiafoe defeated Holger Rune 4-6, 6-1, 7-6(4)

Home favorite Frances Tiafoe came into the match after losing the first set to Holger Rune. After an excellent display in the second set, Rune found himself leading 2-5 in the third set.

The American was staring at defeat in the back-and-forth semifinal battle. However, he got relief after battling hard to reduce the deficit to 4-5. As Tiafoe pushed for a comeback during a slightly close net battle, his forehand hit clipped the top of the net before the ball peeped over the net to make the score 5-5.

The point saw the crowd jump out of their seats in joy. The 26-year-old then held his nerve, forging a dramatic comeback to become the first American to reach the Cincinnati Open final since John Isner in 2013. In the final, Tiafoe succumbed to a straight-set loss to Jannik Sinner.

1) Los Cabos Quarterfinals, Jordan Thompson defeated Alex Michelsen 0-6, 7-6(1), 7-5

This quarterfinal tie will never be erased from Jordan Thompson‘s memory as it came en route to winning his maiden tour-level title. In the last eight, the Australian was on the brink of defeat after just winning one of the first 11 match points and was down 0-6, 1-4.
