Top 3 Superstars who could win Women’s Royal Rumble 2025
Although WWE's build to the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble has been lackluster, fans are excited to see who emerges victorious.

The Royal Rumble is set to take place this weekend, with the Men’s and Women’s iterations of the iconic match set to be the highlights (as they are most years). There are already a few Superstars who have declared for the match on the women’s side, but as is the case most years, there are really only 3 to 5 who have a genuine chance of winning and going on to have a match at WrestleMania for one of the top championships.
Nia Jax, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Naomi, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Lyra Valkyria, Ivy Nile, and Iyo Sky have all, as of writing, declared for the 30-Woman match on Saturday, and I can see at least two of them potentially getting the win. So, here are my top 3 Superstars that I believe could win the Women’s Royal Rumble 2025 on Saturday from Indianapolis.
Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair has been out of action for a long time, but it was announced via a pre-taped vignette that the ‘Queen’ would be returning for the Rumble. This will be her first match since December in 2023, but I can still see the company wanting to potentially give her the win and a headline spot at WrestleMania 41.
There are a couple of reasons why I see Flair potentially winning the Women’s Rumble, with the top one being who the current champions are in WWE. I can easily see WWE wanting to have a rematch between Flair and Rhea Ripley with the Women’s World Championship on the line, a title that Flair technically has not had in her career.
Although the Women’s World Championship takes the lineage of the former SmackDown Women’s title, Flair has not held the ‘Big Gold’ and that could easily play into a storyline between her and Ripley at Mania.
The other match that WWE could run with is Flair vs. Tiffany Stratton. Stratton wasn’t even on the main roster the last time that Flair wrestled on SmackDown, so the chance to have that ‘Battle of the Blondes’ gives WWE the chance to move Stratton away from Nia Jax.
Iyo Sky
The section favourite that I can see potentially winning the Rumble this weekend is Iyo Sky. The former NXT and WWE Women’s Champion has been fairly directionless the last few months, and a win at the Rumble would give her the opportunity to have something to fight for in the coming months ahead of WrestleMania 41.
There isn’t really as much history between Sky and the two World Champions right now which makes this prediction slightly less likely in my mind than Flair, but there is always the chance that she wins the Rumble and opts to go for the NXT Women’s Championship instead. That move was originally pulled ironically by Flair back in 2020, when she decided to take her ‘Championship Opportunity’ against Ripley for the NXT Title at WrestleMania.
Fundamentally, who on earth is going to turn down the idea of Iyo Sky vs Giulia at WrestleMania for a Championship? Not me, that’s for sure.
Becky Lynch
This final choice for me is a lot more out of the box, but it is something that I again can absolutely see the company wanting to run with. Becky Lynch has been out of action for the company since May 2024, and while she reportedly did not sign a new deal at the time, the chances of her going somewhere else (Rebecca Quin in AEW anyone?) aren’t that high, especially with her husband Seth Rollins in WWE.
Lynch has history with both Stratton and Ripley, so that would again be pretty easy to justify from a storyline and creative perspective. But, what really intrigues me is the idea that Lynch could win and then make her own play for Giulia and the NXT Women’s Championship.
There has been a lot of crossover between NXT and the main roster recently, with Bayley facing Roxanne Perez as early as this week, so the chance for someone like Lynch to take on a talent the caliber of Giulia is almost as intriguing as Sky vs Giulia.
Dark Horses for the Women’s Royal Rumble
So those are the top 3 names that I can see winning the Rumble, but there are some dark horses that could be considered. Triple H has run creative in WWE in a different way to Vince McMahon in years past, and while McMahon was happy to throw a spanner in the works every now and then, it sometimes wasn’t for the best/make any sense. Triple H appears to be happy to swerve fans if the timing makes sense and it enhances the storytelling, so there are a few names that could beat the odds.
Jordynne Grace
Despite the fact that Jordynne Grace has not officially signed for WWE as of writing, there is a very good chance that she will be part of the Royal Rumble this weekend. Imagine if WWE decided to give her the biggest win of her career in her official debut as a full time contracted Superstar? Putting Grace in there at Mania with someone like Rhea Ripley could be incredible.
Jade Cargill
Jade Cargill is an outside potential winner, but you can’t rule out her returning to the ring on Saturday and setting up her program for WrestleMania. Although I think she is way more likely to be getting a singles match against Naomi or Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41, there is still a chance that she could win the match and face the aforementioned Naomi and Belair in some sort of fatal four way with Tiffany Stratton’s title on the line at Mania.
Alexa Bliss
We still do not know what her status is with regards to an in-ring return, but if Alexa Bliss did come back on Saturday and win the Rumble it would certainly be a massive way to signal her re-up. It’s difficult to see where she fits in terms of the overall title picture on RAW or SmackDown, so it is an outside chance.
