Women’s wrestling has come a long way over the past decade since the women’s revolution began. 2024 was no exception, with the female talent putting on exceptional matches, main eventing PLEs, and creating unforgettable moments. There is even an argument to be made that many of the women’s gimmick matches this year, such as the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and Money in the Bank, were far better than the men’s.
2024 also saw the introduction of women’s midcard titles, which should continue to elevate the state of women’s wrestling in the future. The year was full of many women elevating themselves to new levels, solidifying themselves as main event-level superstars, and telling highly compelling stories.
With that said, here are the top 5 female WWE superstars of 2024:
5. Bianca Belair
This past year featured Bianca Belair taking a break from the singles division. She was coming out of 2023, having set the record for the longest-reigning women’s champion of the modern era. Furthermore, she has won the Royal Rumble and main evented WrestleMania in the past. Thus, her 2024 was spent trying to establish the women’s tag team division.

Belair formed a tag team with Jade Cargill, acting as a mentor to her throughout. The duo won the Women’s Tag Team Championship twice this year and have done a commendable job in uplifting the tag division and other teams for when they leave. Furthermore, the EST already has highly interesting prospects set up for her going into 2025, including a potential WrestleMania match against The Storm.
4. Iyo Sky
Iyo Sky entered this year strong with the WWE Women’s Championship around her waist. She ruled the SmackDown women’s division with Damage CTRL by her side and had a highly compelling feud against Bayley heading into WrestleMania. The two women put on one of the best matches of the show in the penultimate match of Night 2.

After her stellar WrestleMania performance, Sky was drafted to Raw, where she floated around aimlessly in the midcard as the Women’s World Championship was occupied with Liv Morgan and her stories. However, her talent could not be suppressed for long. She put on an incredible match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at Crown Jewel and even got a world title opportunity at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
3. Nia Jax
The WWE Universe was highly suspicious when the promotion decided to bring back Nia Jax in 2023. However, it is safe to say that the Samoan has proved everyone wrong. She started the year strong with a dominating performance in the Royal Rumble. Furthermore, she even main evented against Rhea Ripley at Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia.

Jax continued her dominance throughout the year, winning the Queen of the Ring tournament in 2024. This victory also earned her a title shot at SummerSlam. The Irresistible Force capitalized on the opportunity, beating Bayley to become the WWE Women’s Champion, a title that she still holds exiting the year.
2. Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan has had a meteoric rise in WWE this year. Although she had won a women’s world championship in the past, no one ever took her seriously as a main event talent. However, all of that changed this year with her 200+ day reign as Women’s World Champion. She had returned from injury at the Royal Rumble, where she was the runner-up. She would also hold the second position in the Elimination Chamber and a battle royale for the vacant Women’s World Championship.

Morgan started making waves right after WrestleMania. She injured Rhea Ripley, forcing her to vacate her title, and later won it by beating Becky Lynch. She has been in a high-profile feud against The Eradicator since SummerSlam and has established herself as one of WWE’s biggest female superstars going forward. The company even crowned her as the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.
1. Roxanne Perez
Roxanne Perez has shocked the entire world with her run as NXT Women’s Champion in 2024. While she was always a great babyface, her character work as a heel has been stellar. Furthermore, she has put on incredible matches against her opponents, which include the likes of Lyra Valkryia, Jordynne Grace, and Giulia.

It is truly remarkable how she manages to stand out so brilliantly, even while performing alongside renowned talents like Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. The 23-year-old has clearly demonstrated that she is ready for the main roster, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see her on Raw or SmackDown in 2025.
