One of the most exciting pay-per-view of the pro wrestling world, Royal Rumble, is just round the corner.  30 wrestlers try to eliminate each other, in over an hour-long match, to earn an opportunity of a lifetime.

The winner of the Royal Rumble, earns a match at WWE’s Wrestlemania, for any Championship of their choosing. One of the most exciting aspect of this even is the surprise debuts and returns. In the recent years superstars like Rey Mysterio, AJ Styles and Edge have made surprise returns to the PPV.

Here is our list of Top 5 wrestlers who could show up at this year’s Royal Rumble.

#5 Taya Valkyrie

Wrestling fans might know Taya Valkyrie from her time at Impact Wrestling. She is a Canadian wrestler who has also wrestled for promotions like AAA and Lucha Underground. Recently it has been hinted that she might be making a move to WWE or AEW.

Valkyrie is married to WWE Superstar John Morrison. This might influence her to join WWE instead of AEW. We might see her debut for WWE on the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

But Ring of Honor, recently announced that Scrull is no longer under a contract with the promotion. This led to the rumors that Scrull might join AEW or Impact as both the promotions have ongoing Bullet Club storylines.

But Scrull might surprise the fans and opt to sign with WWE. There can be no better event to debut for WWE than Royal Rumble.

But her contract with the company was terminated, after she failed to fulfil her contractual obligations. Tessa’s image was recently used in one of WWE 2K Battlegrounds’ loading screens. This raised speculations. While WWE mentioned that it was a mistake on the developer’s end, we might see her appear on Royal Rumble.

Lesnar is the most probable name on this list to make an appearance on Royal Rumble. The Beast Incarnate hasn’t been seen on WWE since he lost to Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania 36. Lesnar could be included in the Royal Rumble match and destroy everyone.

WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon sees Lesnar as a huge draw. So we could even see him winning the battle royale and main event Wrestlemania.

The first ever female UFC Champion might be returning to WWE at Royal Rumble. She hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since Wrestlemania 35. She faced Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in a combine WWE Women’s Raw and Smackdown Championship. Lynch won the match.

Rousey was seen at the WWE Headquarters in 2020. She even made an appearance on WWE’s gaming series. This might hint that her return is being planned on WWE.
