AJ Francis, formerly known in WWE as Top Dolla, was released from the Stamford-based promotion in September 2023. This was his second release from the company, as he was hired back only a year ago, in 2022. Despite these setbacks, he does not consider it to be the end of his relationship with WWE.

Speaking on The Wrestling Classic, the TNA star revealed that his second stint with the company was definitely worth it. He got to work alongside his friends in the Hit Row faction on SmackDown. Further, getting to work with Bray Wyatt was an honor for him.

Francis believed that it definitely was not his last run with WWE. He even claimed to have good relationships with the people at WWE. The 34-year-old narrated a story of him being backstage at a show in Houston because he was in town with Bun B.

The second run was worth it, and I’m telling you now, it’s probably not gonna be the last run. I have a good relationship with the people at WWE.

The former Hit Row member claimed that while Bun wanted to come to the show himself, he was booked. The rapper eventually accompanied him to a show in TNA which he highly appreciated.

The formerly known Top Dolla had a semi-successful run in NXT and even a short stint on the main roster. After being released in 2023 due to a round of cuts, the superstar has found success elsewhere. He has wrestled for MLW, TNA, and other companies. He was even crowned the latest TNA Digital Media Champion at a recent Impact taping.

Francis thought that this was his opportunity to show that he was a star, not another member of the roster in the background. He claimed that he could carry an entire roster if given a microphone and a chance. He believed that he was now hotter than ever and was doing it all on his own.
